Vaccines & Annual Exams
Preventive Care for Life-Long Health
The Whites Road Animal Hospital and the Highway 2 Veterinary Office focus on prevention first. Physical exams, vaccinations and parasite prevention are the foundation of your pet’s long term health and wellness.
Physical Examination
During your pet’s physical exam, our registered veterinary technicians and veterinarians will conduct a comprehensive "nose to tail" manual exam, making sure their body condition, skin, vision, oral health, and hearing are healthy for their breed and age.
The Benefits of Regular Exams
The exam will allow us to rule out any possible conditions or illnesses. One benefit of attending regular exams is that it gives us the opportunity us to identify and treat any developing problems before they become serious.
During the exam, it also provides our team the opportunity to discuss your pet’s life style so we can work with you to decide on a health care plan that best suits their needs.
Vaccinations
Many diseases, such as Lyme Disease and Rabies can be prevented by vaccinating your pet.
Just like human babies, your puppy and kitten will receive more exams and vaccinations in their first 4 months of life. After their puppy and kitten vaccine series are complete, we will recommend keeping their vaccines up to date with a life long regime of booster shots.
Based on your pet’s life style, we may recommend additional vaccines to help keep them disease free
Parasite Prevention
When left untreated, parasites can become life threatening to your pet.
During your pet's routine exam, we will examine and test them for parasites. Puppies, kittens, and senior pets may be tested more frequently.
We carry a full line of parasite prevention and treatment products to protect your pet from many common parasites, including fleas and ticks, heartworm, roundworms, ear mites, and more.
