I decided to become a veterinarian because I enjoyed working with animals and was looking for a rewarding career where I could help both people and animals while at the same time challenging myself. I attended the Ontario Veterinary College at the University of Guelph and graduated in 2001. I have been practicing veterinary medicine at the Whites Road Animal Hospital and Highway 2 Veterinary Office since I graduated.

The best aspect of being a veterinarian is knowing that I am helping animals to live a healthier and happier life in addition to helping the people who care so much about them.  It is very satisfying to know that I am making a difference in the lives of both people and their beloved pets.

I take great pride in knowing that my clients trust me. I value the opportunity to listen to their concerns and address these concerns in an honest and straightforward manner. I believe that clients can appreciate that I want to work with them to provide the best care for both them and their pets by using my experience and knowledge and an understanding of what type of care they would like their pets to have.

My lovely wife, Diane, was a classmate of mine and is also a veterinarian.  I have two wonderful daughters, Jillian and Violet, as well as two cantankerous cats, Annie and Cubby, and two adorable guinea pigs, Spooks and Buttercup.

Dr. Mimi Ehrlich graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1992. She left a career as a computer operator to go back to school as an adult as she cannot imagine any vocation that could be more rewarding than her current one because it allows her to play a key role in nurturing the Human Animal Bond. Her special interests include Behaviour, Internal Medicine, and Ultrasound. She also enjoys looking after the special needs of pocket pets (rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, rats).

Her cat family includes Faith & Courage (a mother and son Main Coon), a silver tabby named Gemma, Dorian Grey and Earl Gray are the newest additions.  They are all beautiful rescue cats, and it seems that Mimi spends much of her spare time cleaning up cat hair and serving her beloved furry family members ("Dogs have owners, cats have staff").

Mimi is dedicated to teaching and has played an important role in the lives of many future veterinarians through her mentorship and enthusiastic approach to veterinary medicine.  She also uses this skill to help pet parents address behaviour and health problems in their beloved pets by providing knowledge and concrete plans for home care.Recently, she has pursued advanced training in the "Fear Free" Method of Veterinary Care and has helped our team become even more inviting for our patients!
